Germs are good for you.

I'm a non-stresser, pretty much non-green and purveyor of all things artificial.

I know *gasp gasps*

I've been told "Do you know what is IN those hot dogs?!?!?"

Who knew they could taste so good?

By the way, AMC movie theaters have my FAVORIT hot dogs - really they do. AMC is my Starbucks of hot dogs. Worth the $4.

I regress . . . Mom-101 wrote about germs and parents - got me thinking about my own parenting style . . . very non-la-mode. Reflected so perfectly in the book:

Confessions of a Slacker Mom by Muffy Mead-Ferro

A laugh out loud look at parenting. Check it out! I am so not getting paid to say this, it's just that good of a book.

I love hotdogs and I never wonder what's in it. But 4-year old asks me why it is called a hotdog, though.

I know where you're coming from. My #1 parenting question is: Will it kill you?

No?

Okay, yeah, do it. Whatever.

I dono about all of the overly processed junk (I know you love it Michelle). But I'm all about letting them eat off the floor... get all of that sickness out before kindergarden!

Very funny! I am laid back and thought my kids were, until they saw a "Myth busters" show about the five-second rule. Now they won't LET me give them things that might be germy. Never mind that they travel to the mountains and eat in huts with dirt floors and who-knows-what-food cooked in who-knows-what. They have iron stomachs and I attribute that to their early childhood years when I strengthened their antibodies! :)

I'm all for real, even if it's admitting being a slacker mom, sounds like a great book that will encourage moms to do the best they can and call it good.

I seem to fit into this group of moms, and frequently feel a little guilty for being this way. I think I should check out this book for a little reassurance. Thanks for the recommendation. :)

I've read it. I own it. It is hilarious.

The fact that it was given to me by my sister says a lot. I must fit the profile! (Kidding--I know I do!)
