The peace before the storm

Today my hubby's parents arrive for 5 days.

I am in that rare moment that there is a bit of quiet and all is *almost* as it should be.

Boy is napping, dinner is in the crock pot, daughter is watching 'sound of music' and the house is presentable for the most part except that daughter has the couch cushions off the couch and they have been transformed into either a bridge or a boat . . .

Anyway, that's doable.

It has been tiring already keeping things straightened after these two kiddos.

What did someone say before . . . . ah yes, "like nailing jello to the wall" . . .

Aaahh well. I'm ok, after all, she is a mother too . . .

A delightful treat has been that my brother and his wife (in the video here) will be coming over tonight too . . . for me that is all sugar . . .

So if you don't hear from me . . .

Have fun with the family. The house should only be put together for their arrival. Then, who cares!

Hope you are enjoying your time with your family, and getting a little resting time at that too!
"Nailing jello to the wall..." now I am going to have to remember that one, such an apt description of what it's like trying to keep a house in order with two kids... What are we gonna do with three?
